Well, sort of. I saw this 1940’s Retro Blouse from Simplicity and I thought I’d give it a shot as I hardly ever break away from stitching up dresses.
I almost ruined this fantastic fabric I bought online from Fabric Spot. I came across this little shop in a search for a Canadian source of online fabric. The fabric was perfect, and I threw it in with a deep purple rayon crepe to prewash it. Needless to say the whites and pinks were entirely purple when they came out of the wash. But, after a few washes with OxiClean, the whites were almost white again. Not all was lost.
Here it is, the pattern required no alterations which was nice. It’s not a shape I usually wear, but then again I’m rarely seen in a blouse.
