Since I’m not eating anything remotely close to a chocolate truffle at the moment (eight weeks – no sugar, no alcohol, no grains.) I thought I would make one I could wear. This is my make of the Truffle dress from The Colette Sewing Handbook. I received the book last Christmas and this is my first completed project from it. I am lucky, my measurements match up exactly to the sizing and no alterations to the pattern are required. It’s made with a fantastic lightweight black bamboo woven with great drape that I bought from my local Gala Fabrics here in Victoria. Here are some photos, mind the poor lighting but I thought it’d be best to just take them before another four months pass!
