This was my most satisfying make in a while. Over the month of May I wore at least one handmade item each day and I came to realise that I should be sewing more casual wear as that is what I like to wear on a day to day basis, not pretty dresses.
Immediately after I saw this cardigan pop up on my Instagram feed I downloaded myself a copy, printed it out, and got to sewing. It was such a fast make and I finally got over my fear of my serger ( which I have since broken, yet another lesson that I should buy quality goods. )
And here’s a quick photo of some recent pottery items.
I‘m finally back in the pottery studio after taking the spring and summer off. Here is my first mug out of the kiln.
Reminder, if you are interested in winning some of my buttons go to my giveaway post and enter by the end of today. I’ll be doing the draw sometime over the weekend.
I was running out of buttons in my etsy shop, so tonight I took the time to photograph and list a few more. I am a little astonished at how many I have accumulated over the years. I tend to make my buttons with bits of leftover clay at the end of each session in the studio.
I regularly use my buttons in my own sewing and knitting projects and I thought I’d host a little giveaway if anyone is interested in a random assortment of handmade ceramic buttons. Just leave a comment on this post by Friday October 11th if you are interested and I’ll pick someone at random. I’m happy to post my buttons anywhere around the globe.
Now, to see if anyone other than my big brother reads my blog!
